Charles Barry Kinley
April 16, 1942 - November 17, 2017

Charles Barry was the first son born to Drewry Kinley and Berniece Melvin on April 16, 1942 in Cartwright Manitoba. He grew up on the family farm north of Cartwright and attended school in Cartwright.

Barry married Audrey Lynn Garabed in Ninette on May 15, 1965.  They lived in Cartwright and Killarney for a short time then Barry started with the Pool elevators and moved to Reston and Kirkella.

Barry moved his family to Ninette and then Dunrea area where he took over a garage in a family venture, then working for Esso and an Equipment operator with the RM of Riverside.  They raised their children Cheryl and Dean in the town of Dunrea.  In 1989,Barry and Audrey moved to the farm southeast of Dunrea. Although Barry and Audrey divorced during this time, Barry continued to live on the farm until his passing. Barry drove school bus for Turtle Mountain for many years as well.

In 2007 Barry retired from the RM and has worked seasonally with Patterson Inputs and helping farm. Barry loved these jobs he had after his retirement and as sick as he was this fall, he still managed to help with the harvest. Barry was a hard worker who always arrived early ready to help. He loved his family dearly and loved to take part in events and celebrations. He always was a farmer at heart and drove many a country mile with his good friend Edward often to a colony for something or other or just to visit friends there.

Barry is remembered by daughter Cheryl (Garth) Nichol, son Dean (Lori) Kinley; grandsons Matthew (Kaitlyn) Nichol their children Avonlea and Torren, Stefan Nichol (Simone Wiebe ) daughter Drew,  Dillon (Shanlee) Nichol and their son Brooks,  Ryan Kinley and Michael Kinley; brothers Bobby (Linda), Gordon Anne); sisters Carolyn (Dick ) Boyce and Bonnie (Bernie ) Kroeker; sister in laws Gloria Kinley, Bonnie Kinley and Faye Kinley.

Barry was predeceased by his parents Drewry and Berniece. Brothers Tuffy, Jim and Paul, and nephew Todd also his special friend Barb Dagg .

Barry died peacefully surrounded by his family on November 17, 2017 at the Boissevain Health Centre.
