Mary is lovingly remembered by her brothers Bob (Shirley M.) Smart, Franklin (Sheryl) Smart, sister-in-law Wendy (Murray) Smart, 13 nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents Frank and Ida (Scheel) Smart, her husband Alvin James Hill and step-son Jim Hill, sister Helen Hooper, brother-in-law Jack Hooper, and brother Murray Smart.
