Allan (A.J.) Daw
Sadly, we the family of A.J. Daw announce his passing.
Allan was born at home on NW 1-2-21 in the R.M. of Morton and lived there for all but the last four years of his life. He was the 7th child born to Arthur and Zella Daw and was predeceased by all but his younger brother Ed.
On October 27, 1956 he and Wynne Hastings were married in Killarney and spent the last 65 years (less 10 days) together. In those years they had a family of four children and later welcomed five grandchildren.
For Allan, farm and family were most important and over 65 years many friends were made. Sadly, most of his friends and family predeceased him. He is survived by his wife Wynne, sons Gord, Dale (Shani and sons Chris and Zach) and daughter Heather (Denny Robertson and son Bailey and daughters Taylor (Cody) & Kenzie). His son Jim predeceased him in 1987. He is also survived by brother Ed and numerous nieces, nephews and Wynne’s family.
He was predeceased by his parents, parents-in-law, one brother, five sisters and their husbands, two bothers-in-law and several nephews.
Allan is remembered as a family man, a good friend and “A Farmer”. He loved the farm and would have chosen to die right where he was born. However, dementia had other plans. He died at Evergreen Place PCH where he had great loving care. Cremation has taken place and a private family burial will occur with a gathering to be held later. Rest easy Allan. You lived a long life and will be missed.
The family would like to thank everyone for the cards, calls, flowers, food and messages of sympathy. It really helps to know how much people care.
