It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Alma Leslie.  She will be missed by all family and friends who knew her. 

Alma was a noble soul, she was kind and loving and she cared for each and every one of her family and friends in the same manner.  Alma had a way of making her world warm and inviting and everything looked “just right”.

She had warm smile and joyous laugh and could see the fun and silly side of life.  Alma had a great number of friends and she enjoyed the hours she spent with them in laughter, good times and bad times.  Alma was always ready to listen, be supportive and was wise in her advice.

Alma’s great joys and past times were going to dances, walks and games. She loved to spend warm summer days at the beach and her cabin at Pleasant Valley.  She loved to plant her flower gardens and took great pride in her yard.  In the winter months, she could be found at the curling rink or curled up with a good book in her favorite spot. She loved her pets, they gave her such contentment. 

Alma worked several years at the Tri Lake Health Centre where she took pride in her job and made many dear friends. 

Alma passed away peacefully at the Bayside Care Home after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s.  We wish to thank the staff and nurses who cared for Mom while she was in the hospital and care home.  Your kindness to her and her family is very much appreciated.  In lieu of flowers, we ask that you donate to the Parkinson’s Foundation in hopes that this disease can be eradicated.
