With great sadness we regret to announce the passing of Caroline, she was also known as Cookie. 
On July 29th, 2025 at the age of 80 years old Cookie passed peacefully alongside her sister Linda and niece Zola in the care of the Brandon Regional Health Centre. 
Cookie was born in the Little Black River Reserve and grew up in Manigotagan. During her adult life she lived in several communities before settling in her home of Killarney, Manitoba. 
Cookie was predeceased by her son Kevin (Goot), her parents Joe and Grace, her sister Donna Prest and Gordon. She is survived by her sister Ann Dunbar, Linda Koop and Roberta Boulette, brother Oliver and Laura, brother Bruce and Brenda. Nieces, nephews and numerous cousins.
Caroline lived with an intellectual disability but this didn’t stop her from enjoying her life to the fullest, people lucky enough to have met her will remember her in what she loved the most. She spent her days with crosswords, artwork, dancing and shopping. Nothing stopped Caroline from making the day hers.

We, the siblings extend our fullest gratitude and appreciation to the nurses and staff of Brandon Regional Health Centre. Her final hours were spent with love and kindness but not just from the family. 

To her extended family, caregivers and staff in her forever home. 
You were who and where Cookie could thrive and live her life to the fullest with, thank you.

A celebration of life will be held at the Ninette Centennial Community Hall
158 Queen St Ninette, Manitoba on August 7th 2025 at 11am. A reception will take place afterwards. 
Honorary pall-bearers nieces and nephews of the immediate family.  

In Lieu of flowers the family requests a donation to the Heart and Stroke foundation or a charity of choice, that would be greatly appreciated thank you.
