An Irish Prayer
May God give you….
For every storm, a rainbow,
For every tear, a smile,
For every care, a promise,
And a blessing in each trial.
For every problem life sends,
A faithful friend to share,
For every sigh, a sweet song,
And an answer for each prayer

It was shared at numerous dances, lodges, concerts or wherever needed.  Phullis chorded on the piano for her father in a fiddlers contest at six years old.  Then at 90 years old composed an old time waltz and recorded it on a tape.  Phyllis was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and a friend to all who knew her.  She was a member of the United Church and choir member in her younger days.  Phyllis tried to make something good in a bad situation.  She experienced a wide variety of circumstances during her lifetime including the dirty thirties,  the great depression, wartime, the polio epidemic, drought and most recently the covid pandemic.  Phyllis was predeceased by husband Don in August 2000, her mother & father, sisters Beth Scott, Luta Orriss, brother Jim Patterson, nieces Allison Urbanowski, Betty Anne Turner, nephew Gordon Patterson, sister in law Helen Patterson, brother in laws Bob Orriss, Doug Scott, Lorne McCorquodale, and mother and father in law Nelson & Clara.  Phyllis is survived by Mac & wife Lynda and children and grandchildren, Glenn & wife Lynne and their sons Jeff (Jackie), Tim (Melissa), Hugh (Shawna).  Great grandchildren Jade, Athena, Cambreon, Deanna, Dustin, Kacey, Austin, Owen.  Brother Ken Patterson (Darlene), sister in law Helen (McCorquodale) Hole (Barrie), and many nieces and nephews.  A private family service will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Boissevain-Morton Library or boissevain Hospital Auxilary.
