In Loving Memory of

Daryl Melvin Cassels

 

Daryl passed away on September 1, 2024 in Vancouver, British Columbia. Daryl was born in Portage La Prairie, MB and grew up on the family farm near Manitou. He graduated from Nellie McClung Collegiate.  After graduating, he moved to Winnipeg  and then  to Vancouver, BC in his late teen years and worked in the lumber industry as a laborer until 2022 when a knee injury prevented him from continuing at the sawmill. He is lovingly remembered by his family and friends including Myrtle Patrick and her sons Darren, Justin, Brandon and Clayton and his sister, Marianne, and her husband, Steve, and nieces and nephews Loran, Alex, Arianna and Luke. He was predeceased by his parents, Lorna and Melvin Cassels. A graveside service will take place at the Manitou Cemetery in Manitou, MB on November 2, 2024.
