Derrick Keith Leaver
Born December 26, 1990 – Passed September 14, 2025

With hearts full of love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Derrick Keith Leaver at the age of 34.

Derrick’s life was filled with a passion for sports, music, and family. Music was his greatest outlet, especially writing songs and rapping where his creativity, honesty, and heart truly came alive.

Above all, Derrick cherished being a father. His daughters, Star and Ember, were his pride and joy, and the love he carried for them was unmatched.

Derrick was born to his father Curtis Leaver, and Arlene Goosehead and lovingly raised by his grandparents, Keith (Papa) and Muriel (Mom) Leaver, whom he proudly called his parents. He is survived by his daughters Star and Ember, his Papa Keith and Mom Muriel, his dad Curtis, his sisters Nina, Samantha, Kirsten, Tiffany, and Hope; his aunt Michelle, his cousin Karissa, who was like a sister to him, his cousin McKenna; and many other cousins, aunts, uncles, nephews, niece, and friends who will forever hold his memory close.

He is preceded in death by his cousin Brian, his brother Brandon, and his sister Raemie, whom he is now reunited with.

Derrick will be remembered for his fun loving nature, his big heart, and the way he loved deeply and lived with spirit. His laughter, music, and presence will continue to echo in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Derrick's family will celebrate his life privately.
