In Loving Memory of
Ethel Shirley Crawford
July 26, 1932 – February 8, 2025

Ethel was born on July 26, 1932, in Killarney, Manitoba to parents Tom and Marion McMullen. One of four sisters and one brother, that made up this wonderful family of Prairie farmers. The first part of Ethel’s life was spent learning how to farm and going to school nearby. As she matured, along with her sisters, they realized that there were several young and eligible men on the Crawford farm right next door.After several (surely) meetings along the fence line, she settled on one young man named Jim Crawford. They married on June 9, 1951 and lived a very successful farm life for many years. In 1993, they sold the farm and moved to Qualicum Beach to spend their golden years there together.
Ethel passed away peacefully on February 8, 2025 at Luther Court care home in Victoria BC. She is survived by her three sons; Brian, Harley and David, along with three grandsons; Daryl, Aaron, and Kyle. She also had four great-grandchildren; Jaycee, Emersyn, Rylie, and Jordan.
She will surely be missed by all who knew her. She lived a full and vibrant life and she can now reunite with her love Jim.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 12 at 2 PM at St. Columba Presbyterian Church, located at 921 Wembley Road in Parksville BC.
