Firmin Marcel Lesy, age 93, passed away peacefully at the Deloraine PCH on Tuesday, March 9, 2021. Firmin was born to Omer and Gerarda Lesy on Feb. 28, 1928 in Deloraine, MB. 

Firmin grew up on his parents farm in the Flossie District where he received his education and later helped his father on the home farm.

On May 24, 1951 Firmin married Frances Hientz in Bienfait, Saskatchewan. After the wedding they returned to the Bayview area to begin their lives together on the farm. 
Firmin and Frances raised six children; five sons and one daughter. They farmed for 24 years and In 1975 Firmin and Frances retired from farming and moved into the town of Deloraine.

Firmin installed floor covering for 23 years, worked at the Deloraine Golf Course and Deloraine Curling Club. He enjoyed woodworking as a hobby and made numerous items for family and friends. Firmin loved gardening and took so much pride in his garden. Firmin enjoyed playing cards especially cribbage at the Legion. He also enjoyed fur buying, hunting and fishing.

Firmin was predeceased by his wife Frances, his parents Omer and Gerarda, sisters Elveire Schoonbaert & Palmyre (Polly) Bolduc and Son in law Don Bertholet.
Firmin is deeply missed by children Grant (Darlene), Don (Monica), Phil (Sue), Cheryl, Brent (Cindy), Blair (Karla), Sister Lorette Vandenberghe, brother Maurice(Joan), friend Shirley Dunn, fifteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and other close family and friends.

Expressions of sympathy may be shown with donations to Heart & Stroke or Deloraine Palliative Care Room.
