With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of dear mom Hazel Lea, Sunday, December 22, 2024, at the Pembina Manitou Health Centre at the age of 85
Mom loved to bake—her homemade buns and bread were the best. She also enjoyed gardening, playing cards, and spending time with her family, most of all with her grandkids.
Mom was born on January 31, 1939, and lived south of La Riviere. She met the love of her life, Percy Lea while working at RBC in Manitou. They married on September 9, 1961, and had 51 wonderful years together.
Mom is survived by her daughters Andra (Kevin) Bayliss and Connie (Troy) Cassidy, grandchildren Landon and Trinda (Brandon), Abby and Jenna, her sisters Evelyn Stinson and Helen Remillard, sisters-in-law Rosemary Lea and Emily Lovell and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Herbert and Annie Lovell, husband Percy, brothers Jim and George Lovell, brothers-in-law Dale Stinson, Gabe Remillard, Robert Lea, Laurie Lea, and sisters-in-law Verla Lovell and Kay Lea.
We would like to thank all the staff at Pembina Manitou Health Centre for the excellent care Mom received over the past 7 years.
