Jack A. Pawich
January 21, 1925- February 13th, 2020.
Jack passed away peacefully at his home in Glenboro, Manitoba. Jack was the only son of the late John and Carolyn Pawich of Cartwright.
Jack was predeceased by his wife, Eileen, sisters Pauline, Julia, Alice and Beatrice and lifelong friend Frank Robinson.
He leaves behind partner Evelyn Ginter, sister Eileen McKay, sons Randy (Donna), Brent (Lorie), Darren and daughter Valerie Ellmer (Gary). Grandchildren Joey Pawich, Kari-Ann Friesen(Kris), Kristy Ellmer(Matt), Kate Ellmer (Adam), Jenna Drumm, Denver and Dallin Pawich.
Jack also leaves behind six great-grandchildren Scarlett, Macy and Kinsley Friesen, Jaydee and Dawson Drumm and Brooklyn Ellmer Kreger.
Jack lived a full life farming for over 80 years on his family land in Cartwright and working various jobs in California during the winter months - picking lemons, door to door sales, pumping gas and factory work. He spent 17 years custom combining from Oklahoma to South Dakota with his sons, a time he treasured.
Jack enjoyed traveling with Eileen and later, Evelyn and learning about the world. His collection of life stories were later revealed in his book entitled "A Life Well Lived" co authored by his dear friend Leslie Loomis.
Jack will be laid to rest on Tuesday, February 18th, 2020 at Cartwright United Church at 2:00pm. Interment at Cartwright Cemetery.
