cremation has taken place and a 
private Celebration of Life will 
be held at the family farm.

In lieu of flowers it is the wish of the family that donations be made to Brandon General Hospital Foundation 
specifically for the Intensive Care Unit.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the untimely however peaceful passing of Jerry Wayne Ransom on June 3, 2024, at the age of 76 surrounded by loved ones. Jerry is predeceased by his father Wilson Ransom, mother Nora Natelle Ransom, sister Linda (Ken) Struth, Iris (Harold) Bailey and brother Michael Ross Ransom.
Jerry is survived by his brother Lorne Hughes Ransom, his children Tyler Ransom, Colby Ransom, Burgundy (Jesse) Russell and Scarlett Ransom. His sister Peggy Dawn (Rob) Salter and their children Chelsea (Jeremy) Desrosiers, Nora Dawn their daughter and Jerry’s Great niece. As well as their son Cole Salter. His brother Brad Ransom, his children Sharly (Randy) Hunter along with their two boys, Jerry’s great nephew’s Talan and Lawson and son Slater Ransom.
Jerry graduated high school in the late 60’s, then went on to become an Aircraft Engineer for Perimeter Aviation. Jerry returned to Boissevain in 1973 where he joined his father in the Ransom Drilling business, which became his lifelong career and legacy. Jerry along with his brothers Lorne and Brad carried on the family drilling business. Jerry in fact went to work at a drilling site with his brother right up until the day before he became Ill.
Jerry was a lifelong Bachelor but that only added to Jerry becoming a Mentor and father figure to many. Anyone who knew Jerry will fondly remember his great yet dry sense of humor as well as his kind nature and generosity. He was a contributing member of the community who was loved by all and will be missed by many.
