Joanne Blanche (McCoy) Camp
June 30, 1946 – April 9, 2025

Joanne Blanche (McCoy) Camp was born June 30, 1946 in Miami, MB to Roy and Betty McCoy. 

Joanne arrived minutes before her twin brother, John, who was born on July 1 and was a little sister for Ruth. Growing up in Pilot Mound, Joanne was involved in 4-H, volleyball, curling and baseball. She was always hanging out with the boys being a tom boy and sticking up for her little brother. 

Joanne married Leonard Camp August 22, 1964. They had 2 daughters, Jackie and Marcie. She worked for Manitoba Telephone System then Alberta Government Telephone when they moved to Calgary in 1970. 

In 1981 Joanne moved back to Pilot Mound where she worked for a short time t the Pilot Mound Hotel restaurant and Brooks Lucky Dollar then for the Rock Lake Health District. 

Joanne developed MS in her mid 50’s and in 2003 moved to the suits at RLHD then to the Personal Care Home in 2008 where she resided until her passing. 

She was predeceased by her parents Roy and Betty McCoy, and her brother John McCoy. She is survived by her daughter Jackie McCannell (Curtis), grandchildren Kyle (Melissa), Kristen Friesen (Anthony), Kayla (Michael McLeod), great grandchildren Emma and Ali McCannell, C.J. and Madison Friesen, Bennett and Tayte McLeod. Daughter Marcie Camp, grandchildren Mitchell Westbrook (Brie), Alex Van Cauwenberghe (Sasha), Brandin Kitt (Matthew) and April Van Cauwenberghe, great grandchildren Kinsley Kitt, as well as her sister her Ruth McCoy. 

A private family service will be held at a later date. 

We would like to thank the ENTIRE staff at PCH for all the years of care our mom received.
