Always Loved, Forever Missed

It is with great sadness that the family of Lois Marie Kowal, announce her passing. In the early morning of August 5th, Lois smiled her last smile in the physical world, to join John for another waltz.
Lois passed at 86 years of age in the Boissevain Hospital, after a 3 month battle with cancer. A private Graveside ceremony will be held in Killarney, Man.

Lois was born on July 18, 1939 in Sudbury, Ont. to Orville and Clara Oliver. Years after Orville's passing, Clara married George Chamberlain, who adopted Lois as his own.
Lois lived some of her younger years in Ontario before moving to Brandon, Man. until the age of seven. After Lois' father George passed, she finished her schooling in a convent in Bruxelles, Man. At sixteen years of age she moved to Winnipeg, Man. and began hairstyling. After a few years of life in the city, Lois moved to Killarney and worked at Bob's Clothing Store, where she met the love of her life, John Kowal. They fell in love and married on Feb. 14, 1966.

John and Lois began their life together on John's family farm south of Killarney. In 1967 John and Lois had a son, Robert Paul. In 1969 their son Dennis John was born. Lois loved being a mother, and she was an amazing mother.
John & Lois had many years building lasting memories on the farm. They were great hosts to the many family and friends who came for visits.
Lois really enjoyed her sewing. She made lovely quilts and different projects for herself, as well as for family. Lois cherished her grandchildren, and always wanted the very best for each of them. After John passed in 2019 after 53 years of marriage, Lois made the decision the next year to move off the family farm to town.
She made her home special, filled with baking and all of her special memories displayed for her to cherish and enjoy. Lois especially loved her beautiful flowers in her yard that she took care of, with pride. They gave her many smiles.

Lois' family and friends meant the world to her. Whether they were close by or farther away, she spoke of each one often. Everyone held a special place in her heart. As well as her little furbaby Josie. They loved each other very much and were great companions to each other.
Lois will be greatly missed. She was an excellent Mother, and a phenomenal Grandma. Lois also touched many family members, including her Brothers-in-law, Sisters-in-law, and many nephews and nieces. Her friends were a special part of her life as well, she valued each and every one.

Thank you to Dr. Nell, and all of the staff at the Boissevain Hospital for your kindness to Lois these past few weeks. Thank you for your exceptional care and compassion towards her, you all are greatly appreciated.

Lois is lovingly remembered by her children, Dennis and Jacquie. Her Grandchildren Zachary, Nicholas, Stephanie (Bradie). As well as Kyle and Tyson. Along with her sisters-in-law Luella and Lillian. Plus many nephews, nieces and friends.

Lois impacted everyone she met. She made us all feel loved, valued and cherished.
