Tracy was born in Selkirk, Manitoba on November 6, 1958, the middle child of Leslie and Maureen McLeod. She is predeceased by her husband Dan in 2025, her parents, Maureen and Leslie, and by her older brother, Dwight. She has left behind her younger brother Shawn (Darcy), nephews Liam, Matthew, Jackson, niece Chelsea and sister-in-law Naomi, niece Rachel and nephew Leslie, loving Uncles, Aunts of the Kirvan and McLeod families as well as numerous cousins. Tracy also leaves behind numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews of the Trapp family.
Tracy spent her formative years attending Kildonan East Collegiate and having fun with her group of childhood friends, spending many hours roaming the area and hosting parties in her mother's basement. She continued to remain life long friends with many of them.
After leaving school, Tracy began her employment career at a local drugstore, shortly afterwards becoming employed with the Royal Bank. While employed at the Royal Bank she purchased her first home and with that found she needed additional funds to help pay her the mortgage. That led her to try her hand in the restaurant business taking a job at the local Country Kitchen working evenings and weekends. She was also on the lookout for a roommate to help share the costs of running her home. This is where she met the cook, Dan. Nine months after Dan moved in they were married on November 1, 1986.
Tracy continued to work with the Royal Bank and keep her hand in the restaurant business until they decided to move to Manitou and open Trappers Restaurant in 1995. In 1996 they closed the restaurant and purchased, with 2 other partners, the Manitou Motor Inn. After the hotel was sold in 2009, Tracy decided to continue to remain a tenant of the restaurant, renaming it TT's Return. TT's Return was her pride and joy. She wanted everyone who dined there to have a wonderful meal and experience. She always had a welcoming smile and words of encouragement for everyone.
Tracy made wonderful friends along her life's travels. She appreciated each one of them for enriching her life and helping her through her life's struggles. They all meant the world to her.
