William Lovett Freeman was born in Middleton, Nova Scotia on June 3, 1947. He was the 4th of 11 children and the 1st son of William A. and Catherine (Pierce) Freeman. William, known to his family as Billy, grew up on the Kingston Bible College campus. His lung issues began at approximately 7 years old but his growing up years were full of fun, faith, adventure, church, family, and friends.
Dad met Carol at church youth group and his determination was rewarded when they were married in July 1969.
Dad was a good worker and willingly laboured at various jobs. Eventually he settled on a career as a painter and wall paper hanger as that matched his skills and seemed the best for his health.
In 1974, Dad and Mom built a house in Debert, N.S. This was where they raised their children- Faith, Tim, and Sam.
Dad`s faith and love for God`s Word permeated his life. He lived out the verse, “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might” (Ecclesiastes 9:10).
In 2008, Dad and Mom moved to MB to be near their kids and grandkids. The Ninga community made them feel very welcomed.
On Sunday, May 21st, 2023, the Lord called Dad home to Heaven.
Surviving William (Bill) are his loving wife: Carol Freeman (nee Hatfield); children: Faith and Justin, Tim and Kathleen, Sam and Michelle; grandchildren: Joël and Shelby, Julie and Tim, Jaimée and Jared, Jesse and Sophie, Nicole and Pierce, Saul, Rebekah, Isaiah, Zachery, Ezra, Alexander, Eva, Ben; great grandchildren: Hailey, Raphaël, Naomi, Phoebe, Lionel; brothers: Rodney and Carol, Wesley and Joy, Rocky and Gina, Daniel and Amy; sisters: Elizabeth and Walter, Pearl and Bruce, Grace and Alfred, Lois and Darrell, Cindy and Jerry; in-laws: Aurdon and Barbara-Ann, Millie and Brian, Maurice and Vi; and numerous nieces and nephews.
