Orville was a man with such a big heart, he gave so much to Killarney and Area, leaving a legacy of a life well lived.  It was an honour to have been able to share some of his talent.
RIP Orville.  Sincere condolences to the family.

I will remember Orville for his enjoyable, lengthy visits to tune our piano. Orville loved to visit and chat as he tuned,  and I think that must be a prerequisite for all piano tuners, as I've never met one who didn't! After doing a splendid job tuning our piano, with the aid of his excellent musical ear, Orville would sit down and start playing. Not content with that, he would usually cajole me, shy young girl that I was, into sitting down and playing something "fancy"ie classical, for him. Hours after he arrived, Orville would bid us a cheery goodbye. What a lovely soul he was.

Dear Janice and the of the Towns family,

Many great memories over the years.  The most  recent at Bayside when I went to visit my mom.  Orville, was always around visiting and knew me.  I would take mom out to the TV room whenever Orville was playing the piano.  She really enjoyed it.  I appreciated it so much.  God keep you and bless you!!

Dear Janice and family.
May it be of some comfort to you knowing how much we truly care and share in your loss of your dad and grandpa. He truly was one in a million!! What a wonderful man with his very special musical talents. He will be remembered by all who knew him . He was always entertaining. We all will miss his spectacular personality. He always had a big smile for everyone, and usually a joke or two. The Angels in Heaven will be receiving a very Special Person.
So sorry we are unable to attend his service. Our Thoughts and Prayers are with you.

I knew Orville from when he used to play in the Belmont Hall at various dances. I believe he was well admired by many towns folk in Belmont, especially by Robert, Harvey and Jean Williamson. Orville was extremely gifted musically; will be missed.

To Orville's Family:
We are never ready for this kind of news but it seems like we will all take our turn. Somehow, I guess we just thought "O. Towns" would always be here.
I first remember Orville and Doris singing at a concert (playing his guitar) when we moved to Holmfield in 1950. So much musical talent in one household! It was always a pleasure to hear them.

Kindest regards to Janice and Linda and families. Our prayers are with you.

The musical section in Heaven just went up several notches with the arrival of Orville on Saturday!!  I was blessed to have known him my entire life.  When I was young Orville would come to our home on the farm to tune the piano, and then of course give us a good ole 'hoe-down' afterwards!  Orville and 'friends' entertained us at the 'Mabon 100 Farm Celebration',a great time.  He always had a smile and a joke ready and I always walked away happier after having a chat with Orville.  I send my sincere sympathy to you his family, knowing the hole he has left in your lives....but what a great life he lived!
Rest in peace dear Orville.

All of us, residents and staff,  at the Wawanesa Personal Care Home were saddened to hear of the loss of Orville. Our condolences to his family and friends, especially those who at one time or another played with the Town's Orchestra.
He has been missed here since he could not come to entertain anymore.
May he play his banjo with the Orchestra of Angels with as much gusto as when he played for us.

To Orvilles' Family:
Orville was a "one of a kind" person.  He always had a smile on his face and was a little ray of sunshine whenever we met him.  He had a special musical talent, but he also had the ability to make you feel good after having a visit with him. And he never went by without stopping to have a chat.  He will be missed by so many people in so many ways.  We were lucky to have know him, even in just a casual way.
